Marine Rescue Ballina’s radio base on the north breakwater wall has a commanding view over the notorious and dangerous Richmond River Bar / Ballina Bar, south to Evans Head and east over Lighthouse Beach.
Marine Rescue Ballina is led by Peter Hill and crewed by 97 professional volunteers.
