SHIPWRECKED Book

The SHIPWRECKED book, presented in A4 format with 444 glossy pages, will provide a comprehensive account of Ballina’s maritime heritage.

It focuses on approximately four-square kilometres of the Richmond River Bar and documents close to 90 historical shipwrecks.

In addition, it covers the development of the breakwater walls, the history of local tugs and pilots, dredging operations, and the stories behind Ballina’s three bridges.

It also honours the many individuals who helped shape the town’s rich maritime legacy.

All proceeds go to Marine Rescue Ballina to help pay for their replacement rescue vessel.
